Oral Hygiene
If you want to prevent breath bad then start by practicing an oral hygiene of the mouth with cleaning, brushing and flossing. Oral hygiene helps to prevent the build-up of the bacteria that forms on your teeth, tongue and gums that causes bad breath. If not removed on a regular basis plaque is formed and it is adheres to the crevices and fissures of the teeth. This generates acids that slowly eat away or decay the protective enamel layer of the teeth, causing holes (cavities) to form. Plaque also irritates the gum and causes gum disease leading to the loss of tooth in some cases.
Brushing of the tooth and flossing helps to remove the plaque formed on the teeth. Antiseptic mouthwashes help to kill many of the bacteria that help to form plaque. By using toothpaste that contains fluoride, drinking plenty of water and regular visit to you dentist can help to promote oral hygiene and can help to eliminate bad breath.
Oral hygiene should be a lifelong habit that should be maintained from infant stage to adulthood. With proper oral hygience practices such as brushing and flossing, you too can avoid the bad breath problems.
