Causes of the Bad Odor
The major causes of bad breath are caused by sulfur compounds that are produced by dead or dying bacteria cells. The back of tongue where bacterial plaque and food debris accumulate is an ideal place where this bacteria forms. This is because the tongues' surface is extremely rough with cracks and crevices. The tooth decay and the gaps between our tooth are also and ideal places that attracts this bacteria. If not cleaned regularly and thoroughly, the result of large accumulation of bacteria will result to bad breath.
Other reasons for the causes of bad breath other than from the mouth are:
- Infections caused by the sinuses, lungs, throat or tonsil
- Diabetes
